Terms of Sale
These Terms of Sale apply to every order placed with London Pallet Trucks Ltd, company number 17458263. We sell new equipment to business customers only, at trade prices ex VAT. Goods are made to order at our factory partners, paid by deposit and balance, and delivered kerbside by pallet carrier. The law of England and Wales applies.
Who we are and who we sell to
London Pallet Trucks is the trading name of London Pallet Trucks Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17458263. We are London-based and trade as a FlyWei Robotics company.
We sell to business customers only. By placing an order you confirm that you are buying for the purposes of a business and not as a consumer. Consumer protection rules that apply to sales to individuals do not apply to orders placed under these terms.
We sell new equipment only. We do not hire and we do not sell used equipment. We are not a cash and carry.
Prices and VAT
All prices are trade prices in pounds sterling and exclude VAT. Where we are VAT registered, VAT at the rate in force on the invoice date is added to every quote and invoice. Our VAT number is shown on the invoice.
Prices are not published on the website. Every price is given in a written quote on WhatsApp or by email. The quote states the products, the quantity, the unit price ex VAT, the delivery charge and the lead time.
A minimum order applies to each range: pallet trucks, trolleys and roll cages, and scales. Any mix of models within the range counts towards it. Ranges do not combine. See minimum order.
Quotes and orders
A quote is valid for 30 days from the date it is sent. After that we requote, because factory prices, freight and exchange rates change.
An order is placed when you accept a written quote and we confirm it in writing. Our written confirmation is the contract.
We check every confirmation against the product specification you asked for. Tell us at once if anything on the confirmation is wrong. Once the deposit is paid the confirmed specification is final.
Deposit and payment
Every order is placed with our factory partners against your confirmed order. A deposit of 30% of the order value is due on confirmation. Production does not start until the deposit is received.
The balance, including VAT and the delivery charge, is due before despatch from our factory partners or, where agreed, before delivery. Goods are not despatched until the balance is paid in full.
Payment is by the payment method stated on your quote. Trade credit is available to UK limited companies and LLPs with an approved trade account, subject to checks. Where credit terms are agreed they are stated on the order confirmation.
Made-to-order goods and cancellation
All goods are made to order against your confirmed order. Orders are not cancellable once in production and the deposit is not refundable after that point, because the goods have been built to your order.
If you need to change an order, ask on WhatsApp before paying the deposit. Once the deposit is paid the confirmed specification and quantity are final.
Lead times
The lead time on your quote is an estimate. Typical lead time is 8 to 12 weeks from order confirmation by sea freight. Air freight is quoted on request.
Lead times depend on factory schedules, shipping and customs. We keep you informed on WhatsApp and tell you the confirmed delivery week as soon as the goods have shipped. A delay does not by itself entitle you to compensation or to cancel. If a delay becomes unreasonable we will agree a remedy with you in writing.
Delivery
Made to order at our factory partners and delivered to your door by pallet carrier. Typical lead time 8 to 12 weeks from order confirmation. Deposit 30% on order, balance before despatch.
Delivery is to UK mainland addresses, kerbside, by tail-lift. The driver lowers the pallet to the kerb or the nearest firm, level ground. Drivers cannot carry goods inside, up steps or across gravel. London and the M25 are delivered by us where possible. Highlands, islands and Northern Ireland are quoted on request.
The delivery charge is stated on the quote and confirmed on the order confirmation. You must give us a delivery address that a large goods vehicle can reach and a contact who can receive the goods.
Full details are on our delivery page.
Checking goods and reporting damage
Check the goods on arrival before you sign. Note any damage to the packaging or the goods on the driver's sheet.
Report any damage or shortage to us within two working days of delivery, with photos, on WhatsApp or by email to sales@londonpallettrucks.co.uk. We need the report and the photos to claim from the carrier. Damage reported after two working days, or without photos, may not be accepted.
Signing for the goods as received in good condition without noting damage may prevent a claim.
Warranty
Each product carries the warranty period stated on your written quote and repeated on the order confirmation. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use by trained operators.
Wear items, misuse, overloading beyond the rated capacity, unauthorised modification and damage in use are not covered. Our remedy is to repair, replace or refund at our choice.
Made-to-order goods are not returnable for change of mind. See warranty and returns for how to report a fault.
Safe use and operator training
You are responsible for using the equipment safely and within its rated capacity, and for keeping it maintained. Employers must train operators of powered pallet trucks under PUWER 1998 regulation 9. No licence is required.
Lifting equipment must be thoroughly examined as required by LOLER 1998. Scales sold on this site are platform scales for check-weighing, goods-in and stock counts. They are not supplied as trade approved instruments.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to that, our total liability under any order is limited to the price paid for the goods in that order, and we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or indirect loss.
Governing law
These terms and every order under them are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
We may update these terms. The version in force on the date of your order confirmation applies to that order.
Questions about these terms: sales@londonpallettrucks.co.uk, or message us on WhatsApp at /contact/.
Frequently asked questions
Can I cancel a made-to-order item?
No. Every order is built at our factory partners against your written confirmation, so once production has started the order cannot be cancelled and the deposit is not refundable. Check the model, capacity, quantity and delivery address on the quote before you pay. Lead times are estimates and we keep you updated on WhatsApp until the goods ship.
How long is a quote valid?
A written quote is valid for 30 days from the date we send it. Factory prices, sea freight and exchange rates move, so after 30 days we requote before accepting an order. The quote states the unit price ex VAT, the quantity, the delivery charge and the lead time, and our written confirmation of your acceptance forms the contract.
When do I pay?
A deposit of 30% is due on order confirmation and production starts when it is received. The balance, with VAT and the delivery charge, is due before despatch. Payment is by the payment method stated on your quote. UK limited companies and LLPs with an approved trade account may be offered credit terms, subject to checks, stated on the confirmation.
Are these terms for business customers only?
No. We sell to business customers only: cash and carries, wholesalers, independent retailers, food distributors and warehouses. By ordering you confirm you are buying for a business. All prices are trade prices ex VAT and every order is subject to these Terms of Sale under the law of England and Wales.
